Cooler temperatures, falling leaves and pumpkin spice everything: fall will be here before we know it.

However, there’s no reason to completely ditch your summer style when the seasons start to change. Here are my top 5 tips on how to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall.

Pink Circle #1

Start incorporating darker colors: Don’t get rid of all the summery brights in your closet just yet, instead start adding in darker colors. If you have a bright colored blouse, try pairing it with a navy blazer and tan shoes for a fall feel.

Pink Circle #2

Add boots: Boots give an immediate fall vibe to any outfit, from dresses to jeans. Try a lightweight summer dress with brown boots and a denim jacket for a cozy, boho look.

Pink Circle #3

Layer up dresses and skirts: Dresses and skirts can easily be transitioned into fall on the top (with blazers, sweaters and cardigans) and the bottom (with tights). For a work look, try wearing a nice skirt with a sweater, tights and nice pumps.

Pink Circle #4

Throw on a scarf: Scarves are a great way to dress up any look, from a basic tee and jeans to a chic office dress. What I love most about scarves is that even if the temps creep up during the day you can easily remove them without a total outfit change.

Pink Circle #5Try shorts & sweaters together: Sweaters are great for wearing with shorts or skirts as the temps get cooler. Depending on how classic you want to look, you can also try adding a button down underneath the sweater with the cuffs exposed for a preppy vibe.
